Kleb Updates: Week of January 29, 2024
Hope for the Homeless

"I’m so excited to announce that the “Hope for the Homeless” Innovation Challenge team made it to the Finals! The girls were extremely happy that their project was chosen, and they get the opportunity to represent Kleb in February at the district finals! Their “Hope in a Box” is a box filled with hygiene essentials for men and women who live in homeless shelters in our community. They hope to have a fundraiser to get donations of toiletries and other essentials to fill 30-50 boxes. They are working on partnering with 1-2 local shelters to provide their “Hope in a Box”." -Ms. Christy Stewart

Students are not allowed to receive third-party food deliveries, such as Uber Eats and Door Dash, etc.

Kleb Arrival and Departure Procedures

At Kleb Intermediate we want to create a safe environment for all students as they arrive and leave school. The parking lot is shared with Klein High School students, Kleb staff and construction site workers.

We would like to remind parents of the expectations of the car rider line so that we can have a safe and orderly arrival and departure:

  • Students must be picked up in the car rider line.

  • Use the two lines we have provided while our building is being reconstructed.

  • Do not have your child cross between moving cars.

  • Drive 5mph in the parking lot.

  • Wait in your cars.

  • Walkers should follow the protected path near the green fence or the sidewalk that leads to Lyons road.  No students should be walking through the parking lot.

  • Adhere to the directions that are given by the school personnel or the KISD Police officer(s).

We ask for parental cooperation and patience as it will be critical to the success of what we are trying to accomplish. Thank you in advance for working with us to create a culture where children's safety is our priority.

ID Policy

Please make sure your student wears their school-issued ID badge every day at school. Students must wear their ID badges around their neck all day, every day, and must have them to purchase food, check out library books, get on the bus, and more. Consequences will be given to students who continuously do not wear their IDs at school.

Early Dismissals:

Early dismissals cut off at 3:30 pm daily. If you need to schedule a pickup in advance, please use any of the following methods to do so. Email: afletcher2@kleinisd.net; 832.249.5495; or SKYWARD
