Destination ImagiNation

Do you have good problem solving skills? Can you take random items and make a bridge? Do you like to think outside of the box? Can you think quickly on your feet? The Kleb Destination ImagiNation Program offers students an opportunity to compete in a problem solving challenge that focuses on improvisational acting, structural engineering, skit writing, prop creation and much more. Students will compete against schools from the North Harris Regional CPSO and, if they are successful, will compete against the best teams from across the state!

In the 2008-2009 school year, Kleb began its first DI program and created two teams. It has seen many ups and downs during practice; however, every year they have been successful in winning at least one 1st place trophy and advanced to the state level competition. In 2011, Kleb DI brought home a 5th place state win! If you are interested in participating in Kleb DI, students must go through the try-out process in the fall semester. Try-outs include individual and team challenges that will be performed in front of appraisers from the Kleb faculty. Students will be competing against each other for one out of 14 available spots in the Kleb DI Program. The students will be committing themselves to practices every week and each practice will last at least one hour. During practices, students not only learn problem solving skills but they will build teamwork skills that lead into lasting friendships.
