While this may be her first rodeo at middle school AND her debut year with us, Mrs. Penn is no stranger to the classroom - she has 13 years of teaching magic under her belt! This Dallas native and proud Texas State Bobcat (where she dazzled as a Strutter!) made the leap from high school hallways to our 6th-grade corridors, trading her high school cheer-coaching whistle for the exciting world of middle school adventures.
When she's not inspiring young minds, you'll find Mrs. Penn living her best life as a mom to her adorable 2-year-old. Family is everything to Mrs. Penn. With three sisters and a heart full of love, she knows the power of connection both at home and in the classroom.
Whether she's diving into a good book, dreaming of sandy beaches, or planning her next adventure to explore new places, Mrs. Penn brings that same sense of wonder and curiosity to her teaching. Her passion for education is contagious, and she's absolutely loving every moment with our amazing 6th graders!

While Ms. Deschensky may be new to our halls, she's no stranger to Klein. This longtime community resident has found her way home after a journey that reads like an adventure novel! From earning her University of Texas at San Antonio marketing degree to mastering the art of making science exciting for grades 6-8, her story is just getting started.
Our very own science teacher once sang in front of the Pope during a 10-year choir career that took her stages across Europe! From harmonizing in the choir to promoting excitement on hockey rinks (yes, she was the energy behind those thrilling intermission promotions!), Ms. Deschensky can captivate an audience.
When she's not inspiring young scientists, you'll find Ms. Deschensky casting a line while fishing, looking for the perfect find while shopping, or creating cozy masterpieces through crocheting - often with her kitty, Stella, keeping a watchful eye!
From European concert halls to hockey arenas to Klein classrooms, Ms. Deschensky shows that educators can bring a world of experience to everything they do!

This week, we’re celebrating The Great Kindness Challenge. Dress-up themes and daily activities are listed on the attached flyer

From tiny fingers on piano keys at just 3 years old to wielding a conductor's baton in high school band, Aidan's musical journey reads like a symphony of passion and dedication. Growing up in Nacogdoches with his dad working in SFA's music department, you could say music literally runs in his DNA!
This multi-talented musician began his lifelong love affair with music at age 3, then expanded his musical horizons with violin in 5th grade, followed by saxophone in 6th grade – proving that when it comes to making beautiful music, variety truly is the spice of life. By 8th grade, Aidan had already fallen head-over-heels in love with the idea of teaching music, a passion that flourished at SFA through the Strings Project, where he discovered the joy of teaching 5th graders.
When he's not orchestrating amazing learning experiences for our students, you might find Aidan scaling rock walls or diving into epic gaming adventures. From earning an outstanding musician award in his youth to growing up in a family steeped in the arts, Aidan's experiences shaped his love of music and led him to become the passionate, student-focused educator he is today.
We're lucky to have such a talented and passionate educator helping our students discover the joy of making music together!
