This week’s Staff Spotlight shines on Ruby Morales, our warm and welcoming attendance secretary. You’ll often see her smiling face to the left as you enter the front office. Ruby has worked in education since 2019 while attending college to become a middle school teacher, and she will graduate in May. This is her first year as an attendance clerk, and she’s jumped into the role with enthusiasm, always ready to help families and support students.

Originally from the El Paso area, Ruby moved here this year and has quickly become a familiar presence at school events — especially our sports games. She’s an avid football fan who loves cheering for UT and the Denver Broncos, and you’ll often spot her in the stands supporting her favorite teams. Outside of school she enjoys reading, is a big Ariana Grande fan, and loves visiting Disneyland whenever she can. Ruby is happily married and shares her home with two beloved pet “babies,” a dog and a cat.

We’re grateful for her positive energy and dedication — stop by to say hello and wish her luck as she finishes her degree this spring!

We proudly celebrated our Quarter 1 Honor Roll students who earned all A's, all A's with one B, and all A's with two B's. These outstanding students were treated to a delicious snack generously donated by our amazing PTO and received a special celebratory bracelet. Each student also received a second bracelet to pay it forward by giving it to an adult who makes a positive difference in their lives. #KlebProud #ExcellenceInAll #GoBearcubs #HonorRoll #KleinFamily

This week, we are excited to shine the spotlight on Mr. Omar Garcia, who joined Klein ISD this year to pilot the innovative two-way dual language program for 6th grade. As one of only two intermediate schools in Klein offering this unique opportunity, Mr. Garcia teaches Spanish Language Arts and Social Studies with great passion and energy.

With 10 years of teaching experience, Mr. Garcia’s journey to education was inspired by his love for learning and community. Before becoming a teacher, he worked as a territory manager in Houston for a nationwide company. Growing up in a bilingual household, he was a simultaneous learner of both Spanish and English, which fuels his dedication to dual language education.

Known for his dynamic teaching style, Mr. Garcia is also leading our first-ever Kleb Spanish Spelling Bee, encouraging students to challenge themselves and celebrate their language skills.

Outside the classroom, Mr. Garcia is a music lover and a big fan of U2. He enjoys reading, watching sports, and traveling—both internationally and across the US in his impressive 44-foot fifth wheel RV. From never towing a thing to mastering RV life, he embraces adventure with enthusiasm. He is also a proud father to a 17-year-old son, who he cheers on as his biggest fan. And, of course, he loves dogs!

We are thrilled to have Mr. Garcia as part of our Klein family, inspiring students every day with his passion and dedication.

This week's staff spotlight is on David Knobloch, who is celebrating his 19th year in education. Although it’s only his second year as an English teacher, Mr. Knobloch is already making a dynamic impact! He brings high-level rigor to his classroom and continuously participates in professional learning opportunities, always finding creative ways to incorporate new skills and activities into his lessons.

Outside of teaching, Mr. Knobloch is a dedicated dad who coaches his kids in baseball and tennis. He loves to golf whenever time allows and is an avid New England Patriots fan. When it comes to vacations, Las Vegas is his top destination. Thanks to Ms. Ashraf, Mr. Knobloch has found a new passion for Pickleball too!

This week at Kleb was packed with amazing moments! Our football and volleyball teams faced off against Krimmel with great energy and spirit. Meanwhile, our two choirs joined forces for a powerful rendition of the National Anthem, showcasing incredible talent and unity. Our cheer team kept the crowd energized, and our student fans showed up loud and proud to support every play. Beyond athletics and the arts, Kleb continues to shine academically with students excelling in the classroom and embracing new learning opportunities. What a fantastic week of teamwork, school spirit, and achievement for the Kleb community!
